Regarding Iron Dome: It's one thing to have an air defense system which shoots down rockets and mortars fired from nearby. You can literally shoot them down with a computer controlled machine gun. It's an entirely different thing to try to shoot down a nuclear warhead coming in from outer space (meaning they're coming down MUCH faster than a normal missile and you've got to hit them in space, before they re-enter the atmosphere). Also, the nuke is so much more expensive that the person who fires them puts in a lot of money into the counter-counter measures. If you're going to fire one nuclear warhead at a country, you're going to fire several, and to ensure they get through you're going to fire hundreds of fake decoys. To defend against a nuclear attack, you've literally got to be able to fire thousands of space missiles, to ensure you take out every single one. All the major powers are working on a solution, but no country has a defense system which could defend against a nuclear attack.

I grew up in NYC (Manhattan) but have lived in Chicago most of my adult life. I love both cities, but Chicago is a GREAT city.

I live is a small town in Oklahoma (pop. less than 1,300), with rather lax fireworks laws. It's not organized, but it is spectacular. Most of the neighbors fire them from their patios. They spend several thousand dollars each, and most are the same types of fireworks as the big shows use. You should see just a neighborhood celebrating before you see one of the big shows. In my neighborhood the fireworks go off for about 4 hours, but they are not a cohesive "show".

As an American. I'm here to tell you that American cheese and spray cheese are disgusting. I have a disposal in my kitchen but I don't use it often. Free drink refills is a must. Super sized anything is ridiculous and unnecessary. I have only done black Friday once. Many years ago (the 90's). Never again. Besides, why go shopping out amongst the masses when you can literally order anything you need online and have it delivered? White sandwich bread is useless. And nasty. Girl Scout cookies are AWESOME! I buy several boxes every year. The drinking age thing is stupid. And I don't drink. But if you're old enough to enlist and potentially die for your country, your old enough to legally buy a beer. Americans use a combination of metric and Imperial. Eventually we'll use all metric. It just makes sense. I hate, hate, hate pharmaceutical commercials. And yeah, my doctor prescribed me Chantix and ambien at the same time, once. I woke up one morning to all my furniture rearranged. Another time, I cooked a 7 course meal in my sleep. I gave up the Chantix. I gave up the Ambien later. 😂

In Michigan we have a storm door. It is made of metal and glass and protects the wooden door from being damaged by all the snow and rain. It's cheap so if the storm door gets damaged, we can replace it. Maintaining a large wooden door would be far more expensive.

Don't move to the US lots of crime .It is not what you think it is .The health care system is expensive .

I have several questions. 1. Who is this young man? 2. Where did he get his degree? 3. Why is he/or is he considered an expert on the subject? 4. Whose data is he using? 5. Is the data he is using/talking about all pre-Covid times? 6. Does the country he is from affect his thoughts? 7. The US is also having problems with immigration right now especially with our southern borders and this is causing difficulties here. My opinion is that the angle you take to look at a subject like this may obscure different facts. I also think that many, many people have different views on this subject and even if they are seasoned pros, they can be off in their rational. Its really complicated, in other words.

We know the history…at least the older generation does. They don’t want you knowing your history or having any pride in your country so history isn’t taught in school anymore. They would rather you not know history. They want our country to be communist, which is what we rebelled against in the Revolutionary War. The King was a jerk and he wanted to control us. Some call it a Monarchy, I call it communism.

I am a dual citizen of the USA and the UK. I also have a degree in political science. Here are some of my thoughts. In wanting to reduce the harm to the planet that overpopulation can cause, most countries around the world began to reduce their populations starting in the late 1960s. This has meant that now we have a large number of old people that must be cared for financially and physically by a smaller number of younger adults. Maybe robots will be able to do some of that in the future, but for now, immigration is the best way to solve that problem. Immigration is how the USA has maintained its advantage over many other nations---a growing workforce, new ideas, etc. Also, European countries made some social choices that the USA did not. Working less hours and having more holiday time for family and quality of life did mean less productivity (in many cases). Also, investing in things like national health care, education, public transportation and social housing instead of military might and tax breaks for the wealthy (to supposedly to be used to create more jobs through innovation) were choices based upon the social values of the governments of those nations. More free time vs. more money, more support for the poor and general welfare of the nation vs. military might and and support for business---these are choices that one has to balance and then vote for those who will do the things necessary to get those results. The USA never had a very strong political left due to the influence of wealthy corporations who instilled fear through "red scares" and union-busting policies. In Europe, the more moderate Socialist/Labor parties pushed for national health care, more housing for the poor and displaced, etc. They also spent more money on public transportation because it was more efficient and Europe was not designed for massive auto use in the way that the more expansive areas of the USA were able to offer. The racial divisions in the USA also didn't exist in Europe to the same extend (WWII aside), thus being poor was not associated with being a racial minority in the way it was in the USA, so the population was more supportive of government programs to improve the lives of all of its citizens. The recent rise of the far right in Europe is definitely due to the increase in immigration from non-European nations and fear of demographic change and job security. And, don't count out Russian interference in support of the destabilization brought about by these extremist parties. Brexit, racial and political destabilization in Europe and the USA and threats to the future of NATO all play into Putin's plans of a greater Russian role in the world.

I be honest, we should spend more on our military and to help our allies like Europe, Israel, Japan, South Korea, etc so that not only we can protect ourselves but also protect our allies at any given moment. healthcare, we Americans do not want universal, we just want private owned companies and we can afford our own health insurance if we want it or not. But I say we should spend more on our military no doubt. I Would give my tax dollars to make sure our military gets stronger than it is today. but that is just me though. who is the biggest threat to America? It aint China or Russia my friend, its America itself. because sadly we have mental cases who live and run this country like the ones in the white house right now who hate and want to put down America and turn America into a socialist, communist country, trust me, we Americans hate these people who live here, hate it here but still they love living on the American soil and money, hypocrites I tell you. But yes, only America is its biggest threat to itself. Also the A-10 warthog is perfect when you want close air support when needed and the A-10 would easily wipe out russia, china by itself honestly, Yeah it is highly maneuverable, but not the fastest, which could easily be shot down, but if Ukraine had like 20 A-10's, this war would of been over already because Ukraine would slaughter Russia way faster.

UP RR is working for an 11/4 work. Work 11 days and get 4 off.? Talked to a Kansas City guy, he said they have had this since last sept. He said it started out great? Then UP kept cutting the board of available workers, until the guys were working every day, every 10 -12 hours? Fuck all that? I'm so glad I got out when I did? I retired on July 4th. Independence Day, for me and so many others. Gone from home every 24-48 hours or more, home for 10-12 hours and gone again? I'm so glad I retired.
